An eggless banana bread made healthier by using whole wheat flour/atta and jaggery/gur. Not only is this bread healthy its also moist and delicious! The chocolate chips and a hint of cinnamon make it a perfect accompaniment to coffee/tea, for breakfast or as dessert!
What a healthy bake this one is-it’s got bananas, wholewheat and no refined sugar! Plus the chocolate chips and cinnamon really add a punch of flavor. This Bread can be made in a square pan or a loaf tin, the bake time will vary depending on the pan,so start checking after 30 minutes.
Before I became a blogger, I had never forayed into egg free baking as my family eats eggs and quite honestly the thought petrified me-what if my cakes will not be soft or moist or not rise! I started with Vegan Chocolate cupcakes and Egg free Red Velvet Cupcakes and since then I have quite a repertoire of Egg Free cakes. Mango Semolina Cake, Vegan Spiced cake with Streusel topping, Better Than Anything Eggless Poke Cake, Egg Free Thandai cupcakes, Vegan Dates walnut cake and my most popular Whole Wheat Eggless Tutti Frutti Britannia Style Cake.

Hi Sabita, thanks for sharing your feedback. Happy to know that the banana bread turned out soft and yummy. It’s a very healthy bake and you made it better by reducing the oil and using Apple sauce instead. Love the idea of nutmeg.
