Vrat ki Pakore Wali Kadhi

Yesterday I made Vrat ke pakore for lunch, which we had with Yogurt dip and also had some with tea later in the evening. I still had some pakore left over and  I was craving some Dal/kadhi Chawal! Since both are not allowed during fasting, thought of trying out some Kadhi with Rajgira along with Sama ke Chawal/Moraiya Pulao with Kaju and Aloo. I must say it turned out excellent both in looks and taste.

Here is the recipe for Vrat ke Pakore with Aloo/Potato Fritters in Water Chestnut Flour . I looked for recipes online and found this one by Dassana that I liked. I changed it to my taste and style of cooking. Since I didn’t have sour yogurt, I did add a little bit of lemon juice, but you don’t have to if the yogurt is sour. Here is my Collection of Navratri/Vrat Recipes, which includes No onion garlic Paneer Butter Masala, Sabudana Appe with Paneer Kaju Stuffing, Rajgira/Amaranth Aloo Parathas,  Sabudana Vadas-tips and tricks for crunchy no fail vadas,No onion garlic Paneer, Vrat ke Dhokle and many more.

Sharing a nice article written by my friend Mononita.
