Habanero pepper Chatni-salsa alternative

posted in: Party Appetizers | 4

Your tastebuds will thank you-spicy, sweet, tangy and zingy! Looks so appealing and goes perfectly with snacks/appetizers and chips! Great alternate to traditional salsa. The first time I used habanero Peppers, I was new to the US and bought some peppers home. habanero-chatni

Just like always, diced them with my bare hands, and boy, did I pay for it. My hands burnt the whole day, no amount of washing, rubbing ice, lotions helped. Plus I made a salsa and didnt realise the heat index of these little peppers!!!

I know now why they are called the hottest peppers in the world! The chatni perfectly balances the heat in these peppers with the sweet pepper, vinegar and sugar, and the cashews give it a smooth texture. The color is eye catching, makes you wanna grab a chip and try it out! habanero-chatni-10 So here is the recipe-
