Paneer Tikka made easily on a tava is marinated in Green chutney. These paneer tikkas can be consumed during navratris and fasting as their is no onion garlic or any kind of flour or binding agent. The marinade is thick and sticks to the paneer pieces giving it the nice crusty look we usually get on a grill! Made in a spoonful of oil these paneer tikkas are healthy, lowfat and high in protein keeping us full on the days we fast.
These tikkas can be made on an indoor electric grill as well. Use salt and lemon juice cautiously as it depends on the chutney being used as marinade. I didn't use any lemon juice as my chutney was sour enough. Used just a sprinkling of salt. Almond flour adds protein, binds the marinade so it sticks to the paneer pieces and gives it a nice crust. Use Rajgira/Amaranth or Water chestnut/singoda flour. Kuttu flour/buckwheat flour can be used but since its dark in color, it may change the look of the paneer tikkas.
